My cleaning business started when I was in high school, cleaning apartments for a property management company. The business has expanded over the years, and we have broken off a couple of other companies from the original. We are deliberately small.
At one time we had six crews out working and I felt as though we were working for them. We prefer to know our cleints, and if we get too big we encourage our workers to take on some clients themselves.
By having a consistent business plan we have the ability to be of more service at a more reasonable cost. This blog is a part of that business plan. The same as we give away business to other companies, as some people call it, we also have no problem sharing our trade secrets.
I have been doing this for forty plus years. My original company A Spring Cleaning worked almost exclusively with Real Estate agents, and property managers. We were a trade secret for decades. In 1999 we took on our first regularly scheduled residential client. It was an immediate success.
We renamed the company Seattle House Cleaning in 2003 to be a little more clear about what we do.
